Parish Pastoral Council

The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to provide Counsel and Support to the Parish Priest and encourage parishioners to undertake their due ministry in the parish according to the spirit of the Vatican II decree ‘Lumen Gentium’. It is made up of representatives from various ministry groups and working groups in the parish. In addition to the representatives of the various ministry groups and working groups, the Parish Priest may also nominate other persons to the Council, should he desire. Members of the Parish Council, being practising Catholics, uphold the Catholic ethos. The Council is to discern the pastoral developments and working of the Parish according to the Vision and Mission statement adopted by the Parish.

  • Parish Priest
  • Clergy assigned to the Parish
  • Pastoral Associate
  • Principals of the parish Primary Schools
  • Nominated representatives of various ministry groups in the parish.
